What Animal Communication is all about...
One thing that has been taken advantage of in our daily life is the important roles that animals play in our lives. Whether known or not, we rely on them for companionship, understanding, love and protection. It is a fact that they give us unconditional love because they are always there for us when others may not be. Some will even work to protect us. They provide service (K9), independent living (Seeing Eye dogs and other trained support animals) and healing (therapy animals). Having a connection with your pet enables you to have a certain bond and understanding with each other. They can also teach you things about respect and trust and just life in general. When you can unlock the door to your animal’s mind you will learn things that you would never want to miss.

Catherine works with a photo of the animal and will connect with its soul. She converses with it and asks it questions of her own as well as any questions that you might have for it. She then records their answers.
This can include such information as:

  • Likes and dislikes in their food, toys, activities, people…..
• How they feel physically; are they sick?
• Things that you would like them to change in their behavior
• Their thoughts about other animals in the house or adding a new one
• Where they were before they came to you
• Special requests they may have
• If they have crossed over: who they are with, what they are doing, are they willing to come back, are they alright, and what caused them to pass.

She will then call you at the arranged time, date and number and review the information with you. Additional questions and solutions may be given at that time.

Animal Communicators – Living Animals.
Animal communication is the ability to send and receive information from animals, either in the presence of the animal, from its picture, or sometimes just from its name. People seek the help of animal communicators for a variety of reasons. The most common requests for assistance are as follows:
  • identifying health issues
• addressing and resolving behavioral problems
• assessing temperaments and compatibility for successful integration of a new pet
• determining the likes and dislikes of animals
• assisting during transition--is it time to cross over?
• locating lost pets

Some people simply want to know how their animals feel about their food or pet sitters, or other information they feel helps them know their pets better. During times of transition, guardians may ask Catherine if their pets are ready to cross over, if they want assistance/euthanasia, and whom they want to be present at their passing. Guardians often find great comfort in knowing they honored their pets' last wishes.

Guardians may come to Catherine with a list of questions they would like their pets to answer. Catherine will ask the pets and then relate the answers back to the guardian. The answers are related without censorship. In addition, with the animals’ permission, Catherine may engage the animals in conversation and let the animals talk about what they choose. These conversations are then related to the guardian.

In one such instance, I was contacted by a guardian who wanted to know her 12-year old Dachshund mix better. She adopted Rocky from a Los Angeles rescue group when he was approximately two years old. Rocky introduced himself right away. He said my name is Rocky, but I also like Rocko and Enrique, because I am handsome and ferocious. My job is to guard the house. He then proceeded to tell me about the time a burglar broke into the house when the family was away and how he attacked the intruder and chased him out. (This story was later confirmed by his guardian.)

Animals communicate with Catherine in variety of ways, but the most common methods are by pictures, spoken words or feelings. Often animals send visual images, which is especially helpful when they describe people or places. When animals communicate their emotional or physical state, Catherine is actually able to feel their emotions or their physical pains. In addition, each animal has its own voice. Sometimes they sound like older, distinguished women, and at other times like rogue cowboys. They have a good command of our language, and Catherine says a lot of the animals she has worked with are quite chatty!

Animal Mediums -- Animals that have Crossed Over.
People may also communicate with animals that have crossed over through the use of an animal medium. Not all animal communicators are mediums, and conversely, not all mediums are animal communicators. Catherine specializes in both areas. Many guardians find comfort in contacting their pets that have crossed over. Those who did not have an animal communicator/medium to assist during a pet’s transition phase may have questions regarding whether the timing of euthanasia was correct, or in the event of an unassisted passing, the cause of death. Connecting with an animal that has crossed over can bring much comfort and may speed the healing process.
